SME fleet customers of i247 Group, which provides tyre fitment services to fleet and leasing customers, will benefit from extended service provision.
Thanks to a new partnership with epyx and its Tyreserve platform, fleet customers can benefit from dealer-based tyre fitting at some 4000 franchised or independent workshops..
David Legg, Director of Tyres at i247 Group, said:
We offer an extensive range of outsourced tyre management services to our leasing company customers, facilitated by our ITMS system which features the largest panel of tyre partners across the UK - but there is a gap in our provision when it comes to dealer-based services.
With the rise of tyre manufacturers aligning their new electric vehicle tyre stock holding with dealers, it’s important we find a solution that increases the chance of finding stock availability.
TyreServe is the ideal answer for us in these instances, providing stock access and control over brand and price while ensuring we minimise lead time issues and keep vehicles mobile by growing the ITMS network coverage to over 6,500 centres.
We have also created a high level of digital connectivity between our respective systems, improving the speed of service and demonstrating the benefits of collaboration and digitisation across fleet services.
The outsourcing feature within TyreServe will be utilised to allow tyre authorisations to be automatically passed to i247 Group to be approved and billed directly, removing the need for a resource-heavy pay-and-reclaim process.
Tim Meadows, Chief Commercial Officer at epyx, added:
TyreServe exists as a complementary service to the mainstream fleet tyre sector, enabling dealers to provide tyre fitments at competitive prices at times when it is more convenient to the driver, such as the vehicle already being in for routine maintenance or where the usual tyre fitment partner does not have stock. It’s ideal for i247 Group’s needs and is already being used by some major fleets.
