Lloyds Banking Group has an ambition to help reduce the carbon emissions it finances by more than 50% by 2030 and to play a leading role in supporting the UK’s Road to Zero strategy.
Richard Jones, Managing Director of Motor Finance and Leasing, commented:
“As the UK’s market leader in automotive funding and leasing, we have a clear ambition to support the UK’s transition towards a zero-emission future by helping our clients along their journey to electrification.
“With Meryem and Iryna’s leadership, we will continue to help businesses and personal consumers review their transportation needs and offer practical solutions to support the transition towards electric vehicles.”
Meryem Brassington added:
“With the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars on the horizon, we need to act now in order to stay ahead of the electrification curve. Sustainability remains at the top of our agenda as we give our clients the tools and understanding to take control of their journey towards a zero-emission future. I am excited for the opportunity to lead our electrification propositions and work closely with industry leaders to ensure we hit our EV ambitions.”
Iryna Kocharova commented:
“This is an exciting opportunity to lead, drive and enhance the customer journey process across the corporate space to ensure we deliver our customers with a first-class experience. With a sustainability-first approach, we’ll work closely with manufacturers and government departments to ensure that the product supply and supporting infrastructure is in place to allow our customers to accelerate their green transition journey – in line with the UK’s Road to Zero targets.”
