CONGRATULATIONS to Duncan Green who has taken up the appointment of Commercial Operations Director at the leasing company Drivalia.
Duncan, who steps up from his role as Operations Manager, was responsible for setting up the new contract hire funder business in the UK.
If you have not heard of Drivalia before, it is owned by Credit Agricole’s FCA Bank, and set up business in the UK in March with the aim of building a fleet of 4,000 vehicles in the first year of operation.
It offers short term hire, long term rental and car subscription. It also funds business contract hire through its own leasing broker channel.
Reporting to Managing Director Alex Hughes, Duncan is responsible for the long term rental side of the business, encompassing contract hire leasing and fleet management services to both direct channels and indirect channels.
I am extremely grateful to the team that has set up the Drivalia long term rental business alongside me. A year's teamwork culminated in the launch of the business in March earlier this year, and a business that has gone on to be immediately successful. My thanks also to our brokers and customers that have been hugely supportive and demonstrated their faith by placing significant business with us.

Last year, Drivalia’s European operation supported WomenX Impact 2022 as part of its push for greater diversity and inclusion. The event was dedicated to women’s leadership, empowerment and the future of work at FICO in Bologna.
The UK business followed this up by sponsoring the Women in Broking Award at the recent Broker News Awards. The award was won by Sam Ward, the Managing Director of Vansdirect.
