KEEPING your workforce supported and motivated in a fast-changing and challenging environment is not easy to accomplish.
Despite this, Alphabet’s policy of putting their people first in the workplace has remained undiminished during this tough past year and its efforts have been recognised by being awarded the 2021 UK Top Employer Certification.
This is the eighth successive year the leasing and mobility specialist has been recognised by the Top Employers Institute for its dedication to excellent HR policies and people practices for a better world of work. The award puts the company in an exclusive place among a select group of certified companies in the UK and globally.
Alphabet CEO, Nick Brownrigg, said the accolade felt even more important this year as it recognised how Alphabet had evolved to stay one step ahead, during this particularly testing time.
“The working world has changed as we know it and despite some unique challenges, we’ve worked incredibly hard to support our employees and ensure our people are put first in everything we do. They remain our most important resource and it is due to their incredible commitment and hard work that, even during a global pandemic, we have been able to continue the high level of service our customers have come to expect. This award is a testament to each and every person working across our business and the personal contribution and significant value they add every day.”
The award is presented to leading employers who demonstrate excellence in employee conditions, develop talent at all levels and strive to continuously enhance their employment strategy, through progressive, ‘people-first’ HR practices.
The Top Employers Institute assesses participants through a global HR Best Practices Survey and organisations must successfully achieve required standards in a number of key areas in order to be certified. The survey encompasses over 100 questions which cover six HR domains across 20 topics including: People Strategy; Work Environment; Talent Acquisition; Learning & Development; Wellbeing and Diversity and Inclusion. The Top Employers Institute evaluates the implementation of these HR practices and reviews how they are supported through Strategy, Ownership, Practices, Measurement and Technology.
