THE acquisition of leasing company Inchcape Fleet Solutions by OEM Toyota – via its Toyota Fleet Mobility division – will see it rebranded as Kinto.
Kinto is the new mobility brand Toyota launched to the world earlier this year.
Kinto aims to provide mobility services across Europe and is part of Toyota’s global vision to evolve into a mobility company.
The purchase of Inchcape Fleet Solutions is part of Toyota’s European expansion and allows it to enter the UK’s fleet management and leasing market thanks to Inchcape’s established operations and customer base.
Tom Fux, CEO Toyota Fleet Mobility Europe, said:
“The acquisition of Inchcape Fleet Solutions was an important milestone for Toyota Fleet Mobility in the European market. As Toyota transitions from being a car manufacturer to a mobility company, rebranding Inchcape as Kinto not only ensures that the Inchcape business remains neutral, it also supports our strategy to grow our total European business by adding new mobility services to our traditional business models.”
Fux said the rebranding to Kinto would be completed by end H1 2020.
