Say hello to…
…the Kia EV4 is an all-new, all-electric, mid-size family hatchback, and in Sportback form is also available as a saloon. Two battery options are available; 58kWh and 81kWh. All versions are front-wheel drive.
Fleets can choose from three trim levels of EV4:

As standard, Air specification includes 17-inch alloy wheels, auto LED headlights, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, aircon, auto dimming rear-view mirror, smart cruise control, 60:40 split fold rear seats, four USB sockets, 12.3-inch driver display screen, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and cloth upholstery.
GT-Line adds GT exterior trim, 19-inch alloys, rear privacy glass, adaptive headlights, powered front seats, wireless phone charger and uprated stereo.
GT-Line S adds uprated exterior trim, powered front seats with memory, heated rear seats, vehicle to load, uprated sound system and head-up display.

Is The Kia EV4 Suitable For My Fleet
Kia’s EV4 is a car that ticks all the ‘fleet’ boxes. It’s electric, so the BIK band is as low as you’ll get. With the larger battery it has a real-world range well over 300 miles (the official figure is up to 388 miles, depending on trim). The EV4 has a maximum charge speed of 127kW, which is good in the sector. And there’s loads of room inside for passengers plus a 435 litre boot including some hidden under-floor space.

Leasing A Kia EV4
Gateway2lease is offering the EV4 at £386 a month on a 3+36 contract with 10,000 miles a year. Gensen Reports also claims maintenance costs will run to £28 a month. Class 1A NIC comes in at £16 a month.

Driving A Kia EV4
Like it’s smaller sibling the EV3, launched a year ago, the Kia EV4 is wonderfully simple and intuitive to drive.
Kia’s current infotainment operating system is logical and quick to respond. There’s programmable shortcut options to disable the warnings for speed and lane keeping.
Interior styling is clean and simple with good use of contrasting materials to lighten the look and feel. And while there aren’t many physical buttons, there are a few for key controls. If there’s a criticism of the interior, it’s that the portion of the screen that controls the cabin temperature is hidden by the steering wheel rim.
Seat position is relatively high compared to ICE hatchbacks, this is thanks to the floor-located battery. The advantage to this is a good view ahead, but it takes a little getting used to if you’re coming out of a more traditional family hatch.
Comfort, however, is excellent and Kia has struck an excellent balance for the ride between being very comfortable without ever feeling wallowy, it’s something that’s not easy to do as many rivals have shown.
Kia also offers selectable levels of brake energy regeneration which is controlled via steering wheel mounted paddles. The top level provides one-pedal driving.
The drive modes, too, are well defined and make a logical and noticeable difference to the way the EV4 accelerates and steers.
There’s very little to criticise in the EV4. Perhaps a faster charge speed would be welcome if you’re going to be doing a lot of public charging, but then the range is so impressive it’s less of a worry than in rival cars.
Overall, the Kia EV4 has to be a class leader and one that will appeal to a large number of business users.
