ROC Technologies, a UK technology business with expertise in transformation, engineering and consulting services, is introducing an electric car salary sacrifice scheme to its staff administered by Gofor, an Edinburgh-based fleet management provider.
Roc, based in Berkshire, says it is introducing salary sacrifice as part of its environmental and sustainability commitments, with the aim of encouraging more employees into electric vehicles.
The partnership with Gofor extends the existing relationship between the two businesses. Gofor has been providing Roc with fleet management services and supporting its overall transition to an all-electric fleet since 2021.
We have a great partnership with Gofor, and as we continue to take steps to improve our carbon footprint, we are pleased to give our colleagues the opportunity to transition to electric vehicles. We knew we could rely on Gofor, so extending our partnership and asking them to administer this new colleague benefit and help drive our environmental goals made perfect sense.
Claire Thompson, Fleet & Facilities Manager at Roc Technologies Tweet
Roc says its salary sacrifice plan is now being rolled out to its employees across the UK. It added that the Gofor scheme was designed to make the onboarding, and overall transition to electric vehicles as straightforward as possible.
According to industry association the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA), salary sacrifice is one of the fastest growing forms of funding, while in the first quarter of 2023 it grew what was described as a “phenomenal” 41% year-on-year. Gofor has been one of the fleet and leasing companies leading the provision of salary sacrifice services.
Roc Technologies has been a fantastic business to work with over recent years. That they’ve benchmarked our salary sacrifice plan against the market and decided to extend our partnership to include this proposition makes me immensely proud.
It’s a testament to the hard work of both our teams and that we’ve built such a strong working relationship. I look forward to helping their employees experience the environmental and financial benefits of driving electric vehicles.
