LOGISTICS firm Paack has partnered with Rivervale Leasing to add electric vehicles to its UK last-mile delivery fleet.
Rivervale expertise will ensure the vehicles added to Paack’s fleet have enough driving range and can carry sufficient load. Advice on charging requirements were also covered, from both a vehicle and infrastructure perspective with the aim of future-proofing the fleets.
Rivervale covers all elements of fleet transition, from negotiating preferred manufacturer terms and competitive finance rates, to maintenance management, using ODO Fleet Management architecture.
Using the ODO system allows businesses, leasing brokers, dealers, and rental companies to monitor the use of vehicles, understand and deliver efficiencies across the fleet, and support the transition to EVs.
Paack operates in more than 80 cities across Europe, with a customer-controlled delivery model that allows them to choose the preferred time slot to receive their parcels.
No matter what number of vehicles are within that fleet, ensuring that the electric vehicles used are fit for purpose is crucial in rolling-out an efficient shift to EVs.
James Lovett, Paack’s general manager in the UK said: “The Rivervale and ODO partnership gives us great confidence that our network is self-sufficient and future-proofed, enabling us to deliver on our promise to consumers and our commitment to the environment. Partnering with leading fleet management experts allows us to focus our energy on enhancing the delivery experience even further.”
Jaymie Stanbrook, fleet manager at Rivervale Leasing, commented: “We’re proud to be working with such an innovative and forward-looking business like Paack. It’s a reflection of the effort we have put into building out the Rivervale Fleet Management solution which is underpinned by ODO.”
Robert Gorby, CCO of DRIVE, which owns ODO, said: “With the explosion in growth of online sales, logistics companies must ensure they fully optimise their fleet to enhance utilisation and reduce downtime. We’re delighted to play an important role in the growth of Paack in the UK as they deliver the future of last-mile logistics.”
