THE Scot Group is launching Switch. It’s a new vehicle rental business and part of the rental company’s strategic growth plans.
If you’ve not heard of the Scot Group before, it operates the successful Thrifty Car & Van Rental operation. The new Switch brand will operate alongside the established Thrifty operation.
Scot Group says Switch enables the company to be more agile and pro-active in how it serves customers – particularly in small and medium sized enterprise (SME) space – as it responds to the changing demands and requirements of the rental market.
This greater agility, says Switch, will enable it to support small businesses and SME fleets in the post covid environment as enterprises accommodate different employee mobility requirements – including hybrid working patterns. It offers a range of flexible rental provision, including short term, long term and flexi-rental, while planning to introduce further mobility solutions as the market requires.
Martin Wilson, Managing Director of Scot Group Ltd, says about Switch:
“We are very excited to launch this new vehicle rental brand. Switch will allow us to be nimbler in the way we support our customers. Our mission is to continue to drive excellence in the rental industry and deliver the best possible service. Ultimately, we want to make mobility flexible and simple and Switch will help us to achieve that.”
The new brand operates from existing Scot Group premises, and is available in 90 locations nationwide. The premises will be dual branded as Switch and Thrifty, while vehicles will also adopt the striking new logo from this month.
Chairman of Scot Group, Roger Hancock, sums up the new brand:
“Switch signifies more than just a new name for us. It represents our commitment to autonomy and adaptability in the continuously changing market we serve. Switch not only provides us with absolute independence and flexibility, but this new brand will also empower us to navigate future opportunities with agility and confidence.”
Roger adds:
“Switch provides an opportunity for us to extend our services beyond the daily rental market. We intend to become leaders in all areas of mobility, while continuing to be market leaders in customer service excellence.”
Sharing Scot Group’s charitable goals, Switch is supporting the My Name’5 Doddy Foundation to aid research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and provide assistance to sufferers. The business also supports Hospiscare, an adult hospice charity based in Devon.
