SCOTTISH fleet management business Fleet Alliance has been acquired by the Global Vehicle Group, an acquisitive Bristol-based leasing broker backed by private equity from H2 Equity Partners.
Fleet Alliance will now join Global Vans, XLCR Vehicle Management (acquired January 2024) and the lcv group (acquired January 2025) as part of the Global Vehicle Group to become the largest and most diverse B2B leasing broker in the UK.
The combined business now offers full B2B market coverage across cars and vans, supporting individual customers right through to fleets in excess of 1,000 vehicles with full fleet management expertise, including salary sacrifice provision.
The enlarged Global Vehicle Group business will have annual volumes of around 18,000 units and an aggregate fleet size of over 70,000 vehicles with a total funded value of over £2.5bn.
While the separate businesses will operate under the Global Vehicle Group the individual companies will continue to operate independently with their own management teams and brand identities, says Andrew Hurst, CEO of Global Vehicle Group. He added:
We are immensely proud to welcome Fleet Alliance into the Global Vehicle Group. Fleet Alliance’s core area of expertise in the SME and larger corporate space will give Global Vehicle Group complete coverage of the B2B sector and will complement the existing group businesses perfectly. Whilst each business shares the same philosophy of creating a positive and supportive team culture and a focus on outstanding customer experience, there will be significant areas where the power of the enlarged group can be leveraged in terms of best practice and providing a wider range of products and services to our customers.
Global Vans is led by CEO Andrew Hurst and his co-founder Jon Lewis, supported by Chief Financial Officer Emma Thomas. The Bristol business was founded in 2002 and is a leading supplier of light commercial vehicles to the SME fleet sector.
Fleet Alliance provides a complimentary suite of services in the SME fleet car sector with extensive fleet management expertise. This year it was named SME Fleet Broker of the Year by the industry title Broker News.
We are delighted to become part of the Global Vehicle Group family. We have the utmost respect for Global Vans, XLCR and the lcv group and we look forward to working alongside them to continue the development of the Fleet Alliance business as part of the largest B2B focused leasing broker in the UK.
Martin Brown, Chair of Fleet Alliance
