CONGRATULATIONS to Peter Horton, who has been promoted to lead Renault’s fleet team as its new Head Of Fleet And Used Vehicles.
Formerly National Corporate Sales Manager, Peter has already enjoyed an 11-year career at Renault and some 15 years as a specialist in fleet sales.
In his new role, Peter will oversee the brand’s entire fleet sales division while also taking charge of vehicle remarketing and residual value management.
His appointment comes at a key stage in the company’s ‘Renaulution’ strategy, with the manufacturer’s extensive range of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles set to grow with a host of important new additions in 2022. A key model will be the arrival of the fully electric Mégane E-Tech, a model that will assist many businesses to make the switch to electrification. For commercial van fleets there will also be the latest generation of the Kangoo van arriving, offering a cost-effective compact van with the option of an all-electric version.
Horton said:
The fleet industry is experiencing an unprecedented and significant shift in the channel mix, all of which has been driven by changing global conditions. With a fantastic team and an excellent product portfolio that seeks to combine customers’ requirements in terms of electrification, connectivity and availability, we are in a strong position to help fleets with all their future mobility needs.
Congratulating Horton on his appointment, Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director, Renault UK, added:
I am delighted to see Peter take a very well-deserved step up to his new role. He is a huge asset to the business and is very highly respected within Renault UK and the industry. His extensive experience will prove invaluable as we enter the next stage of our ‘Renaulution’ strategy, which will see us ramp up our electrification plans and significantly enhance our zero-emissions-in-use offering to business users.
