MARTIN Phillips has been appointed Chief Operations Officer of leasing company Athlon in the UK, effective March 2021.
Phillips was previously joint Managing Director of i247 Group, a specialist in-life outsourcer to the UK fleet sector, having held several roles in German and Dutch finance and leasing companies as well as nine years at Volkswagen Financial Services.
In his new role as COO, Phillips joins the Athlon UK board of directors.
Patricia Wolfe, Managing Director of Athlon UK commented:
“I am delighted that Martin has joined Athlon UK bringing with him a wealth of experience and customer focus. Martin completes the new management team at Athlon UK and will lead the operational division as we look to grow our corporate and international car and van business in the coming years.”
Phillips added:
“I am excited to be back in a leasing company. I am looking forward to delivering for our customers and building flexible and green fleet management solutions, with the ability to leverage the mobility solutions for our international customers.”
Athlon was rebranded from Daimler Fleet Management in October last year and is based in Milton Keynes.
