GARY Lan is appointed Chief Executive Officer for the UK operations of Chinese brands Omoda and Jaecoo, effective immediately.
In his new role, Lan will be tasked with steering the company’s operations, overseeing the expansion of the Omoda and Jaeco brands, and strengthening their presence in the automotive sector.
Lan’s appointment marks a crucial milestone for the company, coinciding with the official UK debut of the JAECOO brand and the start of JAECOO 7 customer deliveries at the end of January 2025. This follows closely on the heels of OMODA’s launch in September 2024. His leadership experience will be instrumental in accelerating momentum, streamlining operations, enhancing brand awareness and delivering a premium experience for customers and partners alike.
Commenting on his appointment, Gary Lan, said:
“Omoda and Jaecoo enjoyed a successful UK debut in 2024 and 2025 has started strongly with the launch of the Jaecoo 7, which has been positively received by the media and its first customers. My aim is to build on that success by continuing to roll out products, supporting our growing dealer network, and engaging with customers in both the fleet and retail sectors. We are committed to delivering innovation, high-quality vehicles, and a first-class ownership experience to our UK customers.”
Lan is a highly qualified automotive executive. Prior to joining Omoda and Jaecoo he held senior leadership roles at Lincoln Motors in China, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Product Marketing and Brand Management. His career has also included director-level roles at Ford in China, as well as key placements at Jiangling Motor Company in China and Mazda in Taiwan.
Lan will work closely with Victor Zhang, who continues in his role as UK Country Director.
