DAVID Beattie has been named the new Director for MINI UK and Ireland, effective January 1, 2025. He succeeds Federico Izzo, who is moving to a new position as Head of MINI Region Europe.
Beattie has a long and successful history with the BMW Group, having joined the UK team in 2005. He has held various roles within the company, including Head of Used Car Business and Head of MINI Sales. In his new role, Beattie will be responsible for leading the MINI brand in the UK and Ireland, two of the most important markets for the brand.
“I am honoured to be appointed as the new Director for MINI UK and Ireland. MINI is an iconic brand with passionate customers and a strong dealer network. I look forward to building on the success of my predecessor and leading the brand into a new era.”

Beattie’s successor as Used Cars Sales Director is Rob East, who joined the BMW Group in 2018. East has a deep understanding of the sales division and the wider automotive industry.
David George, CEO of BMW Group UK, said, “With David and Rob, I’m delighted to welcome two highly experienced colleagues to their new roles within our Management Committee and know that MINI and the Used Cars Sales division will be in the best hands. I’d like to thank Federico for the fantastic job launching the new MINI family in what is by far the biggest MINI market globally, for which I thank him and wish him the best of luck in his new role.”
These appointments come at an exciting time for MINI, as the brand is preparing to launch a new generation of electric vehicles. Beattie and East are well-positioned to lead MINI through this transition and ensure the brand’s continued success in the UK and Ireland.
