IF you need a fast charge on your electric vehicle, then head for GRIDSERVE’s Braintree in Essex Electric Forecourt.
There you’ll find a charger that will zap you up with 100 miles in under five minutes.
It’s all down to the installation of the fastest charger for public use. GRIDSERVE says the charger is suitable for all EV drivers. It has two CCS connectors with long cables, contactless payment and easy access for wheelchair users. Its positioning at the site allows for vans and cars towing caravans to charge with ease.
By installing this latest innovation now, we are offering state of the art charging technology. GRIDSERVE is committed to providing the best charging experience for all EV drivers and we hope to support more drivers in making the switch to electric vehicles.
Toddington Harper, CEO of GRIDSERVE Tweet
GRIDSERVE says it is aiming to build more than 100 Electric Forecourts. Along with those already opened in Braintree and Norwich, the company has started construction on London Gatwick Airport Electric Forecourt, due to open in 2023. It said further sites would include Stevenage, Gateshead and Uckfield with planning permission also granted for Electric Forecourts in Bromborough, Plymouth and Markham Vale.
The Fastest Public Charger In More Detail
The charger installed is an ABB Terra 360 charger. It is capable of delivering up to 360 kW of power and a full charge in less than 15 minutes. GRIDSERVE says if it proves successful it will introduce the feature to more of its Electric Forecourts. Frank Muehlon, CEO of ABB E-mobility added: “We are delighted to be partnering with GRIDSERVE to bring our latest innovation in high power charging to the UK market. The Braintree Electric Forecourt represents the future for the UK consumer e-mobility experience, and we are proud to be supporting GRIDSERVE on this milestone launch.”
